Tube KPS 033 is a tubular element of the SIAL subframe. It is a closed section that adds stiffness where a plain open profile would flex, such as in frames and special units.

It works with brackets, guide rails and plates through bolted or screwed joints. Because a closed section resists bending and twisting better than an open one, it is used where the load path needs extra rigidity. The cut length and the fixing method are shown on the facade drawings for each unit. Within the system it has a fixed place, so it is ordered by designation, not by appearance.
Positions and quantities follow the structural design, which accounts for the wind and ice region, seismicity, building height and the wall material.
