Bracket extension KPS 580 is a bracket extension in the SIAL system (aluminium alloy 6060). It lengthens the standard wall bracket so the guide rails can sit further from the wall, which is how the subframe takes up thicker insulation or an uneven base.

It works with wall brackets, thermal breaks and guide rails. It is bolted to the base bracket, and the combined length is then checked in the calculation, since a longer reach changes how the bracket takes wind load. It is chosen together with the insulation thickness and the gap behind the cladding. Its position in the assembly is set by the drawings, and it is identified by its designation.
The count and sizes of every subframe element come from the project calculation, which takes in wind and ice loads, seismic conditions, height and the base wall.
