The F-12 profile forms an outer corner for 12 mm panels. Thick HPL is used where walls take impacts, and the corner is where those impacts land, so the profile both finishes the line and protects the panel edges from chipping.

F-12 belongs to PDP-100, the aluminium system for concealed fixing of HPL panels in interior rooms. The profiles are screwed to the base or frame through the perforation and the panels enter the grooves, so the wall remains flat with even joints in hospitals, schools, offices and washrooms.
