HPL panels for healthcare facilities

HPL panels for healthcare buildings

Hospitals, clinics, laboratories and care homes need wall finishes that can be disinfected repeatedly without the surface wearing through. Healthcare HPL panels have a closed, non-porous face without grout lines or open pores where dirt and microbes can settle. Joints are tight and can be sealed, which makes cleaning routines simpler and more reliable than with painted plaster or tile.

What matters in a medical interior

• Resistance to frequent wiping with chlorine-based and alcohol-based disinfectants
• Impact strength against beds, trolleys and wheelchairs, especially in corridors
• Moisture resistance in treatment rooms, sluice rooms and shower areas
• Smooth, seamless look that is easy to inspect for cleanliness
• Colour choices that feel calm rather than institutional

Panels in this section are offered in thinner formats of around 6 mm for interior walls, fixed to omega-type profiles or glued to a flat substrate. The omega rails create a small service cavity and allow quick replacement of one damaged panel without disturbing the rest of the wall.

Where we use them

Patient rooms, corridors with protective wall bands, operating-suite lobbies, diagnostic rooms, dental clinics, veterinary clinics and pharmacies. Some projects combine a full-height panel zone in wet areas with painted walls elsewhere, which keeps the budget in check.

Design notes

Seal every perimeter joint and penetration to avoid hidden damp pockets. Place outlets, rails and handles before the panel layout is finalised, so holes can be drilled accurately at the factory or workshop stage. Check with your project's fire engineer which reaction-to-fire evidence is required for the building class, since requirements for public and medical buildings in Georgia are stricter than for ordinary offices.

Working with VENTFASAD 24

We prepare panel layouts, rail positions and cutting lists, so the delivery set matches the room schedule. Clinics in Tbilisi and the regions often have tight shutdown windows, and a prefabricated panel kit with numbered parts reduces time on site. Pricing is on request.

Send us your floor plans and room finish schedule, and we will prepare a panel calculation.
