Stardust textured aluminium

Stardust is a speckled, finely textured coating on aluminium sheet. The surface has tiny raised grains and pigment flecks that look like sand-blasted stone or powdered metal. Light bounces unevenly from the grains, so the panel appears soft and matt from afar, and reveals a subtle sparkle close up.

Character

The effect is quieter than sparkling coatings. It adds depth to a plain colour and helps the eye accept large surfaces without strong reflections. In graphite and black it looks like fine slate; in warm grey and sand it echoes limestone; in light shades it feels airy and mineral.

Why choose it

  • Textured surface that masks fingerprints, small scratches and flatness variations
  • Natural, tactile look at close range
  • Same lightweight, non-combustible substrate as other coil-coated aluminium
  • A durable finish for high-traffic areas such as entrances and passages

Typical uses

Ground-floor cassettes, columns, entrance reveals, canopy soffits, ceilings of passages, and wall panels in reception areas, schools and public buildings. Stardust also works well for fences and screens around technical equipment.

Pairing

It sits well with timber effects, plain stucco, glass and polished stone. Next to smooth gloss, it gives a refined contrast between rough and shiny surfaces.

Design advice

  • Texture limits bending radius; check with fabrication data.
  • Keep the same finish on returns and trims.
  • Request a sample to judge the scale of grain.

Aluminium is non-combustible, but the whole wall above 12 m is reviewed under Chapter 14 of the Building Safety Rules in Georgia.
