PLASTCOVER aluminium

PLASTCOVER is a decorative system for aluminium sheet. A polyester enamel base is laminated with a transparent protective film that carries a printed decor, so the pattern sits under the film and is shielded from abrasion and weather. This is how wood grain, stone, marble, concrete and almost any custom image can be applied to aluminium without losing the benefits of metal: light weight, flatness, non-combustibility and clean bending.

Applications

Typical uses are facade cassettes, entrances, canopies, ceilings, lift lobbies and decorative screens. The system is often chosen where timber would be impractical or unsafe: for example on high buildings, in coastal humidity or where fire safety rules are strict. Decor choice depends on exposure, and we advise samples in the actual light.

Design advice

Pattern continuity across cassettes depends on how parts are cut from the sheet. Plan the layout so that the grain runs in a consistent direction and neighbouring panels are taken from the same coil. For custom images, supply artwork at the right resolution and check how joints interrupt the picture.

Fire design remains the same as for any aluminium cassette facade: above 12 m, Chapter 14 of the Building Safety Rules (Resolution No. 41 of 2016) governs the assembly in Georgia.
