Gold-effect aluminium

Gold on architecture is a statement, and gold-effect aluminium offers it without the weight or the cost of real gilding. The range includes soft champagne gold, warm yellow gold and deeper antique tones on coil-coated sheet. Surfaces are metallic, with a luminous depth that changes with the sun and the viewing angle.

When to use it

Gold works best in small, deliberate doses. A canopy edge, an entrance portal, a feature column or the interior of a lift lobby can carry gold with confidence. Entire facades in gold are rare and demand a very clear design concept. Hotels, casinos, restaurants, shops, event halls and cultural buildings are typical clients, and Tbilisi's strong tradition of ornament and decoration makes accent gold feel natural in many contexts.

Choosing the shade

  • Champagne and pale gold: elegant, modern, gentle in daylight
  • Warm yellow gold: strong and traditional
  • Antique gold: darker, more serious, often closer to brass

Always view a sample outdoors, because gold shifts toward orange at sunset and looks cooler in overcast light.

Pairing

Gold flatters black, deep blue, burgundy and green. With white marble it feels classical, and with concrete grey it feels contemporary and bold.

Design advice

  • Keep orientation constant, as metallic flakes are directional.
  • Use stiffened cassettes and a satin finish on large areas to keep reflections smooth.
  • Fix with sliding points for expansion and order from one lot to avoid shade drift.

Aluminium does not burn, but the whole wall is reviewed for buildings taller than 12 m under Chapter 14 of the Building Safety Rules in Georgia.
