Brass-effect aluminium
Brass sits between gold and bronze: a muted yellow metal with a slightly green or smoky undertone. It is associated with elegant interiors, hotel fittings, lift doors and boutique frontages. The brass-effect aluminium range brings that look to larger surfaces in a stable, lightweight coil-coated sheet that does not tarnish, does not need polishing and costs less than solid brass cladding.
Character
Tones run from pale champagne-brass to deeper antique brass. Satin surfaces feel contemporary and restrained, while brighter ones look more theatrical. Against black, graphite and dark green, brass looks crisp and expensive. Against white or pale grey it feels light and fresh.
Applications
- Interior wall panels, reception desks and lift lobbies
- Entrance reveals, column wraps and canopy edges
- Signage backing and shopfronts
- Restaurant and bar interiors
- Selected facade accents on residential and hotel buildings
Pairing
Brass pairs well with dark timber, green marble, travertine, smoked glass and charcoal metal. Avoid combining it with cool chrome or silver in the same view.
Design advice
- Use brass as an accent rather than on a whole elevation unless the architecture demands it.
- Metallic finishes are directional: keep orientation fixed.
- Satin finishes hide flatness and fingerprints better than gloss.
- Ask for a large sample, since metallic colours look different in a small chip.
In Georgia, facades above 12 m go through the fire review under Chapter 14 of the Building Safety Rules, and the subframe, fixings and insulation are checked with the cladding.
